On Saturday, September 28th, 2019, the Sons of Alchemy poured our homebrews at the Brews in The Barn event at the Millbrook Playhouse in Mill Hall, PA. Brews in the Barn is a unique combination of brew fest, chili cookoff, music fest, and cigar event. We were able to meet and hang out with a lot of great people (organizers, attendees, chili cookoff participants, and other brewers) who really enjoyed our beers. We also sported our brand new club T-Shirts (designed by club member Michelle R.) which you can see in the photos below.
Brews in the Barn featured a People’s Choice Award for best brews, in which paying attendees voted for their favorites. And when the votes were tallied, Sons of Alchemy took first place. The competition included some great brewers, including Founders Brewing Company, so we feel especially honored to have won. We’re looking forward to next year’s event, which is currently scheduled for October 3rd, 2020.
